A rehearsed reading of a selection of short stories by the late - and great - Sam Shepard.
Combining humour, tension and tragedy, Sam Shepard's sublimely written tales offer detailed snippets of life, plucked from the American West and the open spaces of Mexico.
- A handmade sign in a fast food restaurant inspires a man to self-awareness, though he finds that its teenage creator is only dimly aware of its significance.
- A man travelling down Highway 90 West gets trapped alone overnight inside a Cracker Barrel restaurant, where he is tormented by an endless loop of Shania Twain songs.
- A woman refuses to acknowledge that her ever-increasing family of cats – and the subsequent pungent smell – will lead to her eviction from her trailer.
